About the SAT. (10 points for best answer!)?

Hello I am currently a freshman in highschool and I am going to be a sopre. Is it the right time to be preparing for the sat/psat? I have done some research on the sat and I would appreciate some recommendations on books for the SAT/PSAT. Any other things that would help me score high on the PSAT/SAT would be appreciated. Thank you
