Australian football?

I just recently returned from Australia where I purchased 2 Sherrin "Kangaroo" brand official Australian foot. Now that I'm back in the States, I can't seem to pump them up. The standard ball pump here seems too small to correctly fit in the ball and keeps letting air out. Were the defective to begin with or do they use a different size pump in Australia?
