I think you are one of those creating unnecessary paranoia. Is the climate changing? of course, but expecting end-of-the-world scenarios like the ones you and environmentalist paint is only fearmongering to convince the population through fear. the change will be slow and gradual, it doesn't come at once like a tsunami.
