Isn't the unemployment rate artificially inflated by corporations just to influence the midterms?

The unemployment rate has been artificially driven up by those businesses and corporations(which are inherently evil in nature) by laying people off. They then blame this on the benevolent policies of Democrats to get them unelected. How did we ever let such vile sbags take over our society? Wouldn't we be better off if our society was ran by union leaders and Community Organizer, and especially lawyers?
