Mixed signals from a 15 year old boy, help meee?

This kid and i flirt alot in school and i feel like he likes me one day, then doesn't the next. It's annoying because i really reallly like him alot, and one day we'll be playing footsies underneath the desks in english cl, the next he won't say a word to me and won't even sit next to me. The next day he texts me to help him with science homework and sends me winky faces and all that and the next day i'll find out in 7th period he's texting the girl sitting right next to me calling her a "tease". i sometimes wonder if he tells her to tell me he's texting her to make me jealous because she always tells me if she's texting him. i don't even know what to think, he IMs me one facebook alot ahhh someone tell me does it seem like he likes me or does he sound like a player ? :/
