Why is Obama holding US oil production hostage to the whims of fruitcake enviro-extremists ?

Obama's proposals have been called sheer lunacy by leading economic experts. Any profits tax on oil companies will be ped on to the consumer and working people will pay more taxes. Instead of being tax crazy, Obama needs to facilitate resources that the US has that have been held captive by environmental extremists not tax us even more. I don't think the word capitalism is in Obama's vocabulary. He is a Marxist to the core and needs to be exposed before America makes a huge mistake. I am a Democrat who is appalled by this man.
