I just read an article that says the "Fairness Doctrine" was a law in the 60's that said...?

It's very hard for networks to be completely equal. It's not just a liberal and conservative viewpoint out there; it's a liberal, and a conservative, and a neo-conservative, and a religious, and a green, and a libertarian, and a states-rights, and a federal-power, and... well, there's infinite viewpoints. Fairness Doctrine is a logistical and legal mor. Trying to follow it would be a nightmare. There's nothing wrong with fair coverage that lacks bias, but the Fairness Doctrine wouldn't necessarily get you that. Equal coverage time doesn't have to equal fair coverage.
