Is Polyurethane heat resistant?

I recently purchased an older home that has had little to no updating done in the bathrooms, and I am getting ready to re-do the kitchen and bathroom counter tops. I have found a method that consist of putting a special "wall" paper over the counters and covering them with 4-5 layers of polyurethane. I haven't had a whole lot of experience with polyurethane and I am just wondering if it is heat resistant, because it seems to me like it would melt if it got too hot, say for instance if you accidentally sat a hot pot on it or something. Or from the crock pot sitting on the counter all day? Just wondering. Thanks

Media center xp videos...how can I change the format for free?

I was tinkering with dvd and vhs videos I record of myself recently. Somehow, one format was changed to vob format, and it uploaded to a web sight. I don't know how this one file is no longer dvr-ms, but is vob format. Is there something on my dvd recorder drive, or in my Nero burn software that I might have converted something to not be dvr-ms and make it into vob, mpeg, mpeg4 or some more widespread, easily uploaded format? I tried many free softwares, and they just didn't work, and are difficult to understand how to change my home videos from dvr-ms format to the others. I need serious how-to answers. I am NOT trying to upload network or copyrighted matereal. I simly want to upload my home videos of music to something like utube or myspace. Or, are there sights that will upload dvr-ms media center pc video files, so I don't have to pull my hair out?

Its very hard for me to find where my great grandmother came from. I know she was an irish immigrant and arrived in America from somewhere about 1910-1920. I know she got to chicago fairly soon after she reached America and settled down with a Francis Gorey. Her name is Johanna Patrica Cantillon. The only problem is that she is really confusing. On some of the records I found of her she signs her name Johanna Gorey then others she signs Hanna Gorey some Hannah Gorey and some even has her name as Patricia Gorey. Also I'm not sure the spelling of her last name. I know Cantillon is how it is pronounced but I'm not sure if its spelled Cantillion, Cantilon, or some other variation. I don't know what port she came through, I've been just uming Ellis Island even though they don't have anyone in their records by that name. Riding my bike to work every morning?

The gas prices in my area are insane and out of control. I'm thinking about riding my bike to work but it would be a 44 mile ride (round trip). That would be approximately 22 miles to work and 22 miles back. I am new to biking and a little bit out of shape. I don't know if it would help much but I am willing to leave home a few hours before work to make sure I get there in time. My question is...Is 44 miles per day too much for a novice biker? Would I be giving up after the first day? Am I expecting too much of myself? Any advice is appreciated.

i got flu like symptoms on a thursday the usual stuffy nose,chills, etc... but never got a fever just got cold sweat and chills. by saturday i noticed i wasnt taking a # 2 in the bathroom like i normally do i usually go about 3 times a day and never had any problems. so saturday i noticed i was constipated as i tryed going and nuttin came out. ive never been constipated so its pretty weird for me i went to the hospital this monday night doc gave me miralax but mind u doc never checked my stumick just figured i was just constipated i guess sense i had no fever and wasnt throwing up but i did feel like throwing up but just didnt let myself do it .i took the miralax i guess it did soften me up but not alot came out. my stumick still feels blouded i feel like i need to drop a load off but cant and either nuttin comes out or a very small amount. i took the miralax once a day tuesday and wednesday. i went to my regular doctor today witch is thursday he took some blood work to check for some crap he mentioned lol and told me to get konsyl a fiber suppliment and drink it twice a day witch i took today but i dont feel any better i havent been able to go today very little came out today.i had more come out in the two days i took the miralax so im going back to miralax 2morrow. now i dont know how long is ok to go through this constipation? today makes it 5 days of not going as normal at all and im worried that maybe its not just constipation that i have sense i have never had this only got it when i got sick recently. now i dont have a flu anymore but stuck with this constipation so im confused? at 1 point my poop smelled like when my son was growing teeth and he had very bad runs but his poop smelled weird & thats pretty much how mine smelled two days ago. today it smelled normal but again just a little bit came out. what should i do?? i feel blouded sum pressure all around the belly and bottom is this normal?? also how long should i wait if i still feel same symptoms remember its been 5 days that ive had this problem and counting. also i feel like i have to go and when i sit down i gas and takes away from the feeling of pooping and i end up not pooping. i hate this feeling so bad ive never had this. im 26 by the way lol sorry for the typo lol

Female question about PMS and big blood clots.?

I first want to say that I'm going to be going to a gyno next week. Pardon me if this grossest anyone out. I have always had an abnormal period ever since I started. I always got cold sweats, puked, and severe cramps that kept me out of school. Not just your normal pop an advil and it'll go away it was real bad. Well for a few years (mid 20's through early 30s,) I didn't have a period. No pain no nothing didn't think anything was wrong b/c my sisnlaw didnt have a period. The past three months I started getting a period on the 11th day. My family thought it was b/c of stress due to my mother in the hospital. It came again this month but the blood clots were huge. As big as my hand. Once again no pain. I thought it was due to the fact I didn't have one. (Like I said Im going to the dr on Monday). I was just wondering if anyone had an issue like this. Im now feeling a little bit of lower back pain. Any advice would be greatful :) I have looked on Google and it all says the same thing. thanks in advance.

Does proactive work??

I suffer from a lot of breakouts and no matter what I do they don't stop. I use steam rooms/sauna's and even sunbeds... yet I've stopped using sun beds because of the side effects. However in all fairness the sun beds did clear up my breakouts. I've heard about this proactive brand and I'm wondering whether it's any good? Can you buy this over the counter or is it only available via delivery? Also please if any one could give me advise on lifestyle solutions to naturally ease off these breakouts I'd be very grateful :D

my school is under construction until October 6th. so week don't go back for 2 more months and we have been on vacation since June 5th. so we got almost a twice as long summer this year. the bad thing is that now school wont get out until July 30th next year and then we have to go back in the middle of August so next year we will only get a 2 1/2 weeks summer.

im a 21 ,5'4 175 lb female. i eat abot 1300 calories a day and about 100 grams of carbs, a little bit more or less a day. i burn off 800-1000 calories a day by hiking for an hour and then going to the gym for an 1 1/12 hours. how fast will i lose weight lke this? i eat healthy , i have one day a week where i spoil myself with a little bit of sweets, but not over doing it, but then i go work itoff anyways, so ow fast will i lose like this?is this diet okay?

So that manufacturer's can charge more money. There are only a few situations where vitamin supplements are necessary. Otherwise, vitamins = expensive urine. Adding DNA/RNA lets manufacturers make more unsubstantiated claims and lure more suckers into buy their products.

there is this soapy taste in my mouth since two days, it does not go away. And no, I have not ingested, licked, or made love to any soap. Meanwhile I have been through a stressful period (maybe that is related) and I keep electrically zapping any object or person I come across since maybe three days, continually. Strong electrical charges that numb my arms etc. Having watched too many episodes of House M.D., I find myself wondering if I have a very rare condition that will kill me. In horrible pain only 16 please help?

Ok im 16 and have this pain in my back its right by my right shoulder blade near my spine its like a stabbing pain iv had it for months and it gets worse when i exersise or lay down.Iv had a X ray and MRI of my spine and a chest xray that were all negative.I dont know where else to go..the pains annoying what other test can i do to find out whats wrong...if its not my spine or lungs what the heck is wrong??
